Tom Callander

I actually don’t know anything about Tom. He likes to keep himself mysterious…the ladies love it.

Kate Christensen
Social Director
Beautiful Sophomore Kate Christensen has it all: conservative values (brains), beauty, and shocking degree of athleticism (rowing) for a school as nerdy as Columbia. She brings a much needed moral conservatism to this den of Upper West Side Marxism, and wins people over to the conservative cause by being the most down-to-earth and (by far) the friendliest person on the board.
As Social Director, Kate is responsible for planning events like Ronald Reagan’s birthday party and CUCR golf and tennis tournaments. She is in charge of membership recruitment efforts (Attention all CU conservatives: it’s okay you can come out now!). She is known for designing CUCR apparel, which lends itself well to be worn while playing croquet, biking around Chatham or raging at any country club in New England.
Jesse Eiseman
Creative Director
Jesse is a Junior at Columbia College, studying Economics and concentrating in television studies and political controversy. He considers himself a liberal of the old school, possibly the last of his kind, in the tradition that goes from Locke, Kant and Milton down to Isaiah Berlin and Johnny “ignore the health care parts” Rawls. He’s looking forward to reigniting the ideals of the Declaration of Independence on this campus.
He spends his spare time reading Marginal Revolution, Mother Jones and Salon, TNR, Slate and theatlanticwire. He also spends time he doesn’t have writing blog posts–as he’s your loyal webmaster.
Jesse is responsible, as far as Jesse can be considered responsible for anything, for advertising CUCR events and recruitment campaigns. He is responsible for maintaining and expanding CUCR’s online presence.
Nashoba Krishnamurthy Santhanam
Regent Creative Director
Hailing from the wilds of Greenwich, Connecticut, Nashoba is a Junior at Columbia College, studying Economics and Political science, while concentrating in refinement studies. He brings a fresh dose of traditional, Old New England values to the College Republicans, from fashionable blazers to fashionable drinks. Tired of the intervention-happy, economically illiterate state of so many of his liberal companions, he views CUCR as an island of comfort amid the storm of Columbian….well, nonsense, sometimes.
As the Creative Director is currently getting his tan on in Oxford, England, Nashoba acts as his representative on the Executive Board, fully participating in all of the hilarity that the Republican board is known across Connecticut for.
